Four teenagers accidentally find about their uncle’s secret. Before the Second World War when Uncle Saman is still a teenager, he moves to Europe to study painting. There, he mysteriously goes back in time and travels to different periods of art history. In each volume of the series, Uncle Saman meets one of the great masters of the past from da Vinci and Michelangelo to van Gogh, Picasso, Salvador Dali, Frida, and Jackson Pollack- and goes through a lot of adventures to help them create their masterpieces.
In the illustration of the stories, the illustrator has tried to integrate each painter’s artistic style with his own personal style to create a unique atmosphere. At the end of each volume, a number of the painter’s artworks (which usually play a role in advancing the plot) along with some brief descriptions is added to provide the reader with more information.
In the first volume, Saman goes to 17th century Florence, and there he gets to know a woman called “Lisa del Giocondo”. Lisa takes him to the house of a famous painter and asks the painter to accommodate him in his house for a few days. Saman understands that the artist is painting a portrait of Lisa and that she is upset because it still has not been finished.
